Portfolio > Photography > Wardrobe in the Woods Photo Series

This series started when Karla was reading Women of Vision, a book of women photographers from National Geographic. Karla was struck by an image of early morning sunshine shining through little girls dresses pinned to a clothesline. Karla has abiding appreciation for beautiful textiles and has, over the years, grown increasingly interested in the myriad variations of sunlight and how they affect the colors and moods of a photographic scene. In this photo series, Karla explores the different moods she can capture using pre-dawn light. Karla captures a melancholic, mysterious feeling that leaves the viewer wondering.
